BACKGROUND:The BOD tasked the Long Range Planning Committee to look at alternatives to expand Carriage Manor Community Facilities.The results of study was presented to the BOD on April 13, 2011 and approved.The 2009 Master Plan will be updated accordingly and the below described project will move to Step 3 in accordance with paragraph 13.1 Carriage Manor By-Laws.
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT:Build a 50’ x 104’ steel building east of the maintenance/woodshop building (building includes locating on HOA owned lots 783 & 784). Maintenance, Lapidary, silversmith & restrooms would be located in the new building. Woodshop would expand into the vacated maintenance offices.The project includes building a 625 sq. ft. covered storage enclosure in the maintenance area (click here to see sketch).Also included are removing and/or adding new walls or partitions in the community buildings to expand sewing and exercise activities and add several new classrooms.The project includes constructing a chair storage facility at the NW corner of the ballroom (click here to see sketch).The update of the Master Plan includes showing the new 5th tennis court east of the existing courts that replace parking as shown on the 2009 Master Plan.Listed below are approximate square footages now & proposed:
